"Life is basketball and basketball is life" (Steve Nash). There are not too many people who would read this quote and it sparks an intimate reaction; I see this quote and my mind begins to race, my heart beats a little faster, my palms get sweaty and I get what some basketball players call "the itch". The itch is when a sudden urge to play basketball comes over you and you can’t shake it. You just have to get a ball in your hand. The addiction and over whelming passion that I have for the game is not something that can be quantified or summed up in words and this quote embodies that to me. The only other person I can even think of that comes close to sharing this emotion with me is my friend, my play brother, my partner in business, Ramon Meacham.

Me and Ramon met through the game of basketball and developed an immediate connection through the similarities in the way that we both played the game; the way we were so a like with the all out effort, never say die attitude and killer instinct on defense was uncanny. Over those high school years we built an unbreakable bond that continues to grow through college and as we move into adult hood. I started my college career at St. Mary's College of California while Ramon is currently a senior at Santa Clara University. Although we currently aren’t college athletes, from having the opportunity to walk on to division I programs at our respective colleges and currently working closely with college trainers and athletes, we know what is demanded of that level of an athlete. As well as what it takes to become that level of an athlete.

We have coached multiple youth basketball teams but more recently we are coaching a 7th & 8th grade AAU basketball team as well as working as coaches at multiple youth camps as far as our résumé’s in coaching are concerned. We have seen the ends and outs of developing talent and have a personal affection with the game of basketball; Taking this step of creating King of Kings Development is a means to give back to the game that has and continues to give to us as well as creating an opportunity to develop young talent in hopes to give them their best chance at success.
